Shyheim on Mom Hooked on Drugs, Dad in Prison, Wu-Tang Became His Family (Part 1)

Shyheim stopped by VladTV for his first-ever interview, and in the first clip he opened up about growing up in Staten Island. He explained that his mother had him when she was 16 and she was battling a drug problem and his father was in prison, so his grandparents took care of him until they passed away when he was 11. From that point on, Shyheim was raised by the neighborhood, and he got a big break with a record deal at 13 for $350,000 with Virgin Records. He explained that due to child labor laws, half of the money was put into a trust fund until he was 21 to protect it from anyone taking it away from him. To hear more, including what he did with the first $30,000 he was given, hit the above clip.
