Pop stars, they’re not like the rest of us. Let Melanie C, a.k.a Sporty Spice of the Spice Girls, be proof of that with her hilarious anecdote about the time two of her band mates got “caught short” (really needed to pee with nowhere to go) while stalking Elton John’s private hotel floor. In the latest installment of Remember That Time, Melanie recalls the night in the ’90s when the group were staying at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills and “making the most of it” at the hotel bar. Word got out that Elton John was also in the building and, being Rocketman himself, had reserved a whole floor. Cue Mel B (Scary) and Geri Halliwell (Ginger) making their way past security in order to pay their fellow pop star a visit. This, Melanie explains, took a little longer than planned and all the drinks at the bar caught up with them before they found Sir Elton. Cut to one of the girls, with no access to a toilet, peeing in a nearby plant pot. “It seemed like the most hygenic thing to do” she explains, saying Elton was nowhere to be found. “He either heard the girls and chose to ignore, or he was out to dinner.” You can hear the full story by hitting play on the video above.
