Keefe D trial in the murder of Tupac Shakur, continues with Dr. Lisa Gavin (Day 2 / Witness 6): who is the Medical Examiner of Clark County Las Vegas Nevada. She testified that She was not present for Tupac Shakur’s 1996 autopsy, but was called as an expert witness to interpret the historical evidence because the original medical examiner has since died. During her time on the stand, she reviewed a grisly photo of the rapper’s bloated body, pointing out multiple chest wounds, tattoos, and the chest tubes that remained from his six days in the hospital. She detailed his fatal injuries explaining how three bullets damaged his intestines and traveled through his chest, causing a collapsed lung. The graphic nature of the autopsy images and her technical explanations prompted several of Shakur’s family members to step out of the courtroom during her testimony.
