In 2020, Ellen has become the most recent victim of cancel culture. With multiple allegations and accusations of the comedian being less than kind to employees, colleagues, and guests, fans are calling for the Ellen Show to be cancelled. Viewers wonder if she’s really as nice as she acts on TV! But through all of the negative backlash, one person has stuck with Ellen – her brother Vance!
But who is Vance Degeneres? An artist in his own right, Vance has worked for decades in LA as a musician, writer, producer, and actor. He has written for episodes of the Ellen Show and has worked as a producer for Steve Carrel’s production company. Vance also recently released a track for Feeding America charity.
When Ellen was facing negative media and backlash from fans and viewers, Vance stepped in to comment on his sister’s good intentions. In a tweet, the supportive brother claimed that Ellen has only tried to go good and spread love! She doesn’t deserve all the hate, he told fans. Although it seems like it’s Ellen against the world, her brother, wife, family, and certain celebrities are standing in unity with the comedia as her reputation is tarnished by internet cancel culture.
