Why Emma Chamberlain Left Her Youtube Empire

Emma Chamberlain is perhaps the world’s most successful YouTuber. From high school drop-out to YouTube megastar and now Vogue interviewer, Emma’s meteoric rise in the spotlight has been anything but conventional. Born in California as an only child, Emma turned to YouTube for company. Early on her friends began making videos, which is where and where Emma began to experiment with editing–the thing that would later separate her from all the rest. By age sixteen, Emma no longer wanted to be in school and dropped out. She decided to dedicate herself to her YouTube channel and it paid off. Within a few years, she had 8 million subscribers and then decided to move out to LA. Since moving, Emma’s career has skyrocketed and led to some very important partnerships with the likes of Louis Vuitton and Vogue. She’s also launched her own coffee line and now runs her own podcast show, Anything Goes. For mental health reasons, Emma has decided to step away from YouTube but is keeping busy in many other capacities. She made it clear that she has no plans to completely abandon the platform but will definitely do YouTube differently in the future. We have no doubt that her star will continue to rise and we look forward to seeing where she goes next.
