No matter what genre they spring up in, supergroups are a difficult proposition. With each member initially finding fame and fortune by marching to the tune of their own drum, many artists aren’t that amenable to compromising or playing second fiddle to another party. As a result, these ill-fated attempts to independently market successful artists under one collective banner often results in an end product that’s less than the sum of its parts.
