With the loss of Prince Philip and the crown soon to change heads, will the British Royals move strongly into a new era?
In June of 2021, Prince Philip would have been 100 years old. Married in 1947, the seven-decade-long marriage was one for the ages. Queen Elizabeth was just twenty-seven years old when she took the weight of a nation onto her shoulders. Luckily, she had her husband, distant cousin, and love match by her side.
Is it time to see old traditions moved into modern times? Next in line to the throne after the Queen will be her son, Prince Charles, followed by Prince William. After that comes little Prince Geroge! The future King of England will have to decide which ancient traditions, customs, and ways of life to uphold.
Will the younger generations uphold the customs and traditions fought for by Queen Elizabeth and the late Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh? Only time will tell!
