Since her appearance in the Netflix documentary “Athlete A,” it seems like everyone is talking about Maggie Nichols, a competitor her friend Simone Biles called “the Michael Jordan of college gymnastics.” How’s that for an amazing endorsement? She represents the University of Oklahoma and was the first NCAA gymnast to achieve not just one but two grand slams! Even though she makes it look easy, we’ll take a look at her intense training schedule and show how she truly earned the Arthur Ashe Courage Award. At one point in her career, she was a prospective team member for the 2016 Summer Olympics before a knee injury took her out of the game. But she’s still working hard and has some big plans for her future career! A torn meniscus may have gotten her down at one point but she still isn’t out! Even though she announced her retirement back in 2016, she isn’t leaving the world of sports behind entirely and hopes to find work as a broadcaster and may even write a book one day.

What do you think about the amazing athletics career of Maggie Nichols? Do you think it’s a shame she didn’t qualify for the Summer games or do you think she has more to accomplish first?
