Just what happened to Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen? If you came of age in the 90s or early 2000s, you must remember how big Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were. They were some of the biggest stars of their era thanks to their huge movie career, their sitcom roots, and their empire catering to teenage girls. However, for the past couple of years, they have disappeared from the spotlight to pursue other things in life. While we don’t get to see the Olsen twins on screen anymore, their sister Elizabeth Olsen is making a name for herself.
Instead of acting, the Olsens have found their calling and success in an entirely new venture in the world of high fashion. In 2014, the siblings went public with their decision to step away from the camera, explaining that they had other ventures in mind. “With what we were doing in business when we were younger, I don’t think it ever felt like we were actresses,” Mary-Kate told Women’s Wear Daily. Their younger sister Elizabeth Olsen is taking on the acting tradition. With the recent release of WandaVision, Elizabeth Olsen is currently the center of the superhero universe. With the new levels of international fame, many fans were surprised the actress had very famous sisters.
