A small toad with a big appetite has become an unexpected TikTok star after creator Misty Castillo shared a video of its nightly wait by her bug light. The clip, which has now reached 1.2 million views, shows the toad patiently staring at the lamp, ready for his evening feast.
Castillo says the toad appears like clockwork, unbothered by her presence, and calmly waits for her to switch the light on knowing it will attract the insects he relies on for dinner.
“I have been noticing this little toad waiting by the bug light every evening for me to turn it on. It is not afraid of me at all. He just waits patiently, staring at it.”
