Getting news out of North Korea is always difficult; there’s a reason it’s known as the Hermit Kingdom! When Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un was reportedly in a vegetative state, the topic of succession came up with many wondering if his sister, Kim Yo-jong would step up in his place. Having a member of this family in charge is a must because of the incredible cult of personality they’ve managed to establish in only three generations. We’ll take a look back at his grandfather, Kim Il-sung, and talk about how he came to power and set the stage for his son, Kim Jong-il. This family history is rather extreme, with strict rules and kids being sent off to a private school in Switzerland. The Baekdu bloodline is considered to be an essential part of the country so what happens if there are no more possible heirs from the Mount Paektu family?
