The United Kingdom is in Mourning. The head of the British Royal family for more than 70 years, Queen Elizabeth II has passed away and her country along with the world are sharing their reactions and sending their love. Some of the most prominent reactions to the Queen’s passing have come from the Royal Family itself. The new king released a statement on behalf of The Palace to the public immediately following the Queen’s passing. The Prince of Wales, his new title following the passing of his Grandmother issued a statement through his social media accounts letting the public know of the Queen’s passing in an identical statement that was shared from other official royal channels. Prince Harry was the last to arrive at Balmoral castle and unfortunately did not make it in time to see his Grandmother before she passed away. Prince Harry was not alone however, apparently many members of the extended royal family arrived too late to say goodbye. Meghan Markle was not even INVITED to be at the Queen’s side in her final hours. It was later revealed to the public that only Blood relatives were allowed at Balmoral Castle. Kate Middleton stayed home with her children as it was the first day of school for George, Louis, and Charlotte. Camila was by the Queen’s side in her final hours and on the country’s mind as she assumed her new role. For now, our hearts are with the British people and with the members of the British Royal Family.
