Mustafa was an original co-founder of what became Gramercy Street Hustler. It started off as a football team crew known as Gramercy Gangsters (GGS) playing against other football teams on Van Ness, Cimarron, Wilton Place, St. Andrews and Manhattan Place.
He eventually became a member of the West Blvd Crips. Many believed that the Gramercy Street Hustlers were Bloods, but it included mostly non-affiliated members, even though Kool Boy, a well known GSH was also a member of the Rollin 20s Bloods.
