As a British primary school teacher, I dressed up as Dobby the House Elf from Harry Potter for World Book Day, a day where children and teachers across the UK famously dress as their favourite book characters for the day. I spent two and a half hours the night before panic-making my costume and I turned up to work to discover that not only were the students not dressed up, but neither were the teachers. I had to spend my whole day teaching dressed as Dobby and I have never been so mortified!
