Swizz Beatz Album, Criteria for Being a ‘GOAT,’ SoundCloud Rap Officially Dead? | Everyday Struggle

On Thursday’s (Nov. 8) episode of #EverydayStruggle, Nadeska, Wayno and DJ Akademiks discuss Complex’s recent interview with Lyrical Lemonade’s founder, Cole Bennett, where the video director claims that “SoundCloud rap is no longer a thing.” The crew then shifts their conversation towards the Harlem collective Dipset and review the group’s latest single, “Sauce Boyz” off of the upcoming ‘Diplomatic Ties’ album. Another review the EDS crew does on this episode is Swizz Beatz’s ‘Poison’ LP. Both Ak and Wayno seem to have positive opinions on the project and share an interesting take on producers creating full-length albums. Shortly after, Ak and Wayno give their expectations on 6ix9ine’s upcoming album, ‘Dummy Boy,’ and to close out the show the squad answers fan questions ranging from producers tags in songs to the current G.O.A.T.’s in today’s rap culture.
