In a revealing interview, Sneako shared his experience standing by Ye when the rapper faced intense backlash over his controversial song featuring the phrase “Heil Hitler.” The track, initially played in full on Sneako’s stream on May 8, 2025, was quickly removed from streaming platforms within hours. The fallout was severe: Ye was banned from performing in much of Europe, lost his Australian visa—impacting visits to his wife’s family—and had major shows canceled, including in Brazil. Sneako, who was present for multiple high-profile shutdowns alongside Ye, described the ordeal as a “day of the job,” emphasizing the recurring pattern of public and corporate censorship. Despite the unprecedented restrictions, Sneako noted Ye found a sense of freedom in shedding the censorship constraints that typically govern his public persona. The scrapped album *Cook*, leaked online amid the chaos, was followed by work on another project, *Bully*.
