Straight Politicking Episode 105 (part 1) Munchie B and Alex Alonso discuss, Officials at California State Prison – Los Angeles County (CSP-Lancaster) investigating the death of 32-year-old incarcerated person Francisco Perez as a homicide. Perez was found unresponsive in his cell during a 1:45 a.m. security check. Life-saving measures were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at 2:17 a.m.
Perez’s cellmate, Juan Saledo (45), was handcuffed and placed in restrictive housing pending an investigation by the prison’s Investigative Services Unit. Francisco Perez (Victim, 32): Most recently received from San Diego County in 2016, serving a 14-year sentence for assault with a deadly weapon (second striker with GBI enhancements), plus additional sentences for battery and resisting an officer.
*Juan Saledo (Suspect, 45): Known as “Negro” from Culver City 13, Saledo was serving a life-without-parole (LWOP) sentence and has a violent criminal history:
*2002 (Age 20): Sent to prison for carjacking and felony murder.
*2017 (Age 39): Allegedly went on a multi-murder spree in a single day—killing his father, attempting to kill his father’s girlfriend, and driving to Lennox to kill two more people.
*2023: Picked up an additional in-prison sentence out of San Luis Obispo County for possessing a controlled substance.
