After a week of unexpected freedom, Ed the zebras runaway adventure finally came to an end Sunday morning in central Tennessee.
Ed, who had escaped just a day after arriving at his new home, had been spotted racing through neighborhoods and even along the interstate, causing a mix of amusement and concern among residents.
His wild journey concluded in a pasture near a subdivision in the Christiana community, where he was safely located and captured. In an unusual twist, Ed was airlifted by helicopter and transported back to a waiting animal trailer.
