Rapper Nipsey Hussle, 33, was shot dead outside his clothing store in Los Angeles hours after posting a tweet saying ‘having strong enemies is a blessing’. The 33-year-old Grammy nominee was due to meet LA Police Commissioner Steve Soboroff and LAPD Chief Michel Moore to discuss gang violence. The rapper, born Ermias Asghedom, was among three people shot outside the Marathon Store on Sunday afternoon. Nipsey was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead after being rushed to hospital. Eyewitnesses saw one man fleeing in a vehicle after the shooting. Videos have since surfaced of Nipsey receiving CPR on the scene outside his clothing store. Moments before the gunfire Nipsey – who has alleged ties to the Rollin 60s Neighborhood Crips – had tweeted: ‘Having strong enemies is a blessing.’ Nipsey grew up in south Los Angeles and often talked about being in a street gang during his teenage years. He had since become a community organizer. Nipsey is survived by his two-year-old son Kross with Poinsettias for Christmas star Lauren London (pictured top right with Diddy) and his daughter Emani from a prior relationship.
