On Thursday’s (Apr. 30) episode of #EverydayStruggle, Nadeska, Wayno and DJ Akademiks are joined by Chicago rapper Polo G. The crew and ‘Pop Out’ rapper start off the show discussing how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected Polo’s studio sessions. Polo further explains how he stays motivated to make music and how he’s managing to monetize during these times of crisis. Upon speaking on his upcoming album, set to drop in May, Polo G opens up about feeling like he has a lot to prove and responds to ‘underrated’ comments. Soon after, Polo speaks on the importance of substance in his music. Then, the ‘Die A Legend’ rapper and the crew discuss the meaning of a legend in which Polo mentions Tupac, Nipsey Hussle and Lil Wayne as people he models his career after. Lastly, Polo G speaks to the influence of his peers, such as G Herbo and Lil Durk. He elaborates on how being fellow Chicago artists have impacted his career.
