A day after her birthday, Tiffany still had one lingering complaint: she never got her chocolate cake. But as she scaled the icy route of Skywalker Couloir, she had no idea her climbing partner had a surprise waiting at the summit.
Battling wind and elevation, the pair reached the top. Then, with a flourish, out came the long-awaited chocolate cake, a high-altitude celebration against the breathtaking alpine backdrop.
With gusts too strong for traditional candles, a rescue match took its place, flickering just long enough for a moment of birthday magic.
Tiffany, stunned and delighted, finally had her cake in the place she loved mostthe mountains.
