Danny Myers sits down with Knowledge Tha God of HipHopIsReal and explains why he felt he had to make an example out of Gorilla Monsoon.
After Gorilla questioned whether Danny was still top tier, the disrespect gave the Bar God even more motivation to lock in. With Murda Mook and Loaded Lux expected to be there, Danny knew he couldn’t lose—or even have a debatable battle against a rising newcomer—while calling for battles with the culture’s biggest legends.
Danny also reveals that the battle came together on short notice, reflects on bouncing back after Dre Vicious, and explains why facing a newcomer creates a “high-risk, low-reward” situation for an established veteran.
Plus, Danny discusses proving to himself that he still has it, receiving praise from the culture, and his history of giving early opportunities to future stars like Geechi Gotti, B Dot, Coffee Brown and Rum Nitty.
