Mob James discussed some of the inner workings of the iconic Death Row Records, particularly a mysterious “red phone” reserved for Harry-O, a key figure in the label’s founding. According to James, Harry-O frequently called Suge Knight through this dedicated line. James also shared his frustration with ongoing gang wars in Compton, lamenting that young gang members have inherited a conflict they don’t fully understand. He expressed hope that OGs could mediate a peace treaty among the factions, reflecting nostalgically on a time when different sets coexisted more harmoniously.
