Michael then explained that show business doesn’t support talent, but rather who is the hottest of the moment. He learned this lesson while working with a casting director, who didn’t know the iconic names that Michael was telling him could possibly work for the role of his father in the movie. Michael then explained that the older generation of actors didn’t always understand the full scope of show business for career longevity.
