Melvin Farmer opened up to VladTV about Tookie Williams’ petition for clemency being turned down by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Tookie also being nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize. Melvin went on to address Tookie’s execution being difficult because the nurse was nervous and she also couldn’t find a vein. Farmer explained that he believes Tookie was executed as an innocent man, adding that he wrote a book called The New Slave Ship in honor of Tookie.
