In this clip, MC Serch spoke about being named dropped on JAY-Z’s “Takeover” amidst the legendary Nas vs. Hov beef. Serch revealed how much he was actually paid for the publishing but also detailed how he doesn’t actually own Nas’ publishing. In fact, he explains how Nas owns a piece of Hov’s catalog.
Later, MC Serch revealed how he and Nas finessed Tommy Mottola and was able to get out of their deal so Nas could branch off. He praised Nas for being a smart, savvy businessman and said that with his latest tech ventures, Nas will be hip-hop’s first “real” billionaire.
