Having walked the same path four to five times a week, she never expected to hear a stranger suddenly tell her to go back to your country. The unwarranted remark was not just shocking but a stark reminder of how deeply rooted discrimination can be, even in familiar places.
She told Newsflare: “My cousin and I were on our usual sunset stroll in Dunedin when, out of nowhere, a man told us to go back to your country. Ive lived here for 30 years and walk this path four to five times a week.”
