On May 30, a man in Langfang, Hebei Province, struggled to control a sunshade umbrella during a sudden bout of strong winds. Despite his best efforts, including standing on the umbrella’s base to weigh it down, the force of the wind proved too powerful. Both the man and the umbrella were swept away by the gale. Fortunately, the man was unharmed.
Earlier that day, at 3:24 p.m., the Langfang Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow thunderstorm and strong wind warning. The alert indicated that wind speeds in some areas could reach levels 8 to 9 within the next six hours, urging residents to take precautions.
