In this clip, Lord Jamar reacted to Godfrey’s take that people need to love the hood from afar as they ascend toward a different class station in this country. Vlad asked Lord Jamar how rare is it for someone from the hood to open businesses and buy real estate in their own hood. Lord Jamar had examples but said none were on the scale of Nipsey. He also pointed out that there are also larger structural problems that prohibit Black people from getting the business loans necessary to set up shop.
