Black spending power is up to $1.6 trillion as of 2021, while our net worth has fallen 14 percent. Moreover, the stock market was up 27 percent last year, while the real estate market was up 31 percent. Yet, Black people didn’t participate in this wealth creation because we don’t own enough assets. To make matters worse, by 2053, the Black net worth is expected to reach zero.
