Lil Durk Talks ‘Just Cause Y’all Waited 2,’ Collab LP w/ Metro Boomin & More | Everyday Struggle

On Thursday’s (May 7) episode of #EverydayStruggle, Nadeska, Wayno and DJ Akademiks start off the show discussing the alleged incident between DaBaby and a Las Vegas driver that reportedly occurred late last year. Soon after, the EDS crew is joined by Chicago rapper Lil Durk. The OTF rapper begins the convo by speaking on giving back to local front line workers, while they continue to fight the COVID-19 virus. Next, Durk shares his ways of maintaining inspiration during quarantine by listening to his old music and interviews. He also explains why dropping music now is important, and how fan reactions help him gauge the kind of music his fans like from him. Then, Durk reveals his experiences working with producer Metro Boomin. Soon after, Durk speaks on leaving Def Jam and how it affected his rebrand and what he did to keep going, despite the criticism. DJ Akademiks then poses the question comparing Chicago Drill to Brooklyn Drill. Later, Durk explains his definition of a GOAT in today’s rap and to close out the show, the EDS crew and Lil Durk have a quick debate about who’s the better basketball player, himself or Chris Brown?
