When the town of Tarifa was threatened by a wildfire, Nana fetched her kitesurfing gear and evacuated the area on water.
She told Newsflare: “A large fire broke out in Tarifa, prompting authorities to advise avoiding the main road to ensure clear access for emergency services. The fire spread rapidly, driven by extremely high temperatures and the strong Levante wind.
“Given the urgency of the situation, the quickest and safest option was to take my kite and head out to sea. From a safe distance, far out in the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, I was able to witnessand capturethe dramatic scene as it unfolded onshore.”
