Kim’s 2019 Met Gala dress is here to turn heads.
This Kardashian fashionista is accustomed to rocking slim-fitting gowns and pieces. She is the creator of SKIMS, a shapewear line of pieces for women.
But nothing compares to the figure-hugging gown by Thierry Mugler that she wore to the 2019 Met Gala Red Carpet Event: “Camp: Notes of Fashion.”
The star worked with the iconic designer to craft a knee-length gown made of latex and silk organza to show off the star’s house-glass silhouette. The dress is covered in dripping crystals that hung from her bodice.
Mugler came out of 20 year retirement to create a stunning look. The design team also worked with the iconic London corse20-year, Mr. Pearl.
There’s no beauty without pain! That skin-tight dress was about as painful as it looked. To fit into the dress, Kim had to work out with a trainer six days a week AND take lessons on how to wear and breathe in a corset. Kim also admitted that the crystals and corset were digging into her skin, causing indentations in her back and stomach.
For the night of the event, Kim could not sit down or take any bathroom breaks!
