He said all the neighbors in Compton was white, then black people started coming into the space in 1970 and becoming a black neighborhood. He noted that one of the first racist experiences he encountered was when he was four years old, saying a white man came up to his family and called them the n-word. He also spoke about being a relative of Nat Turner.
