HOT 97’s Summer Jam 2001 is undoubtably one of the most iconic shows in the history of hip hop. One of the biggest reasons is due to Jay-Z’s historic performance in which he debuted his diss track “The Takeover” for the first time and closed the show bringing out Michael Jackson.
Following the show Jay-Z and the Roc-A-Fella crew did a classic interview in which he did not say a word and let his team do all the talking. Ralph McDaniels sat down with Ebro in the Morning to reveal what Hov told him about that event.
