A woman visiting Nara Deer Park was enchanted by the polite deer, bowing sweetly as she offered them senbei crackers.
Then, the crackers ran out.
In an instant, the mood shifted. One deer nudged her, at first, a small tap. Then, an insistent shove. Another grabbed at her bag like it knew more snacks were hidden inside. Before she knew it, she was surrounded.
