Paul Mescal may not have any interest in becoming a buffed-up superhero in the Marvel Universe, but there is one franchise he’d hit the gym for, and that’s the Top Gun universe.
Although the actor has plans for plenty of projects, he’s also admitted that, unlike many up and coming actors, he’s not keen on joining the Marvel Universe. Back in September 2022, the “Aftersun” actor revealed one of his big career bucket list items: Paul Mescal has ambition to join the Top Gun film fanchise. The Irish star is well known for his indie film projects – which he says he enjoys. But if he was going to break out of the indie world, Top Gun is one cinematic universe he wouldn’t mind joining. The star also said: “Something like Top Gun: Maverick would be more interesting to me. I love that movie.”
So, will fans of the Irish indie actor get to see him on the big screen alongside mega star Tom Cruise? Only time will tell but we definitely foresee a big career on the horizon for Paul Mescal.
