How Paparazzi Photos Helped Cara Delevingne Get Her Life Back On Track

Addiction is a disease that many people are silently suffering from, but getting treatment isn’t always an easy thing. Model and actor Cara Delevingne’s struggles were put on center stage when images of her intoxicated and erratic behavior at the Van Nuys airport, after weeks of partying, went viral. For Cara, though those paparazzi shots were embarrassing, she says she’s grateful for them. Why? Because they were the reality check, she needed to get help and get sober. We’re sharing Cara’s journey to healing and what helped her get sober, and what is helping her stay sober.

After years of battling with addiction, and growing up surrounded by it, due to her mother’s struggles, Cara knew it was time to change. She’s recently come out to speak about her journey to recovery and healing and how the 12-step program helped her find her community.

We’re getting into how her addiction took center stage in 2022 and the toll it took on her body, and with her going public with her healing, not recovery, journey, we are getting some insight into why she was on the Billboard Music Awards red carpet holding Meg Thee Stallion’s dress and on the floor taking pictures, and how her community saved her life.

Addiction is never easy, and Cara recognized just how much of an impact it made on her life and on her loved ones’ lives. Now that she’s sober, she’s taking the time to consistently work on herself after years of putting herself in danger.
