Harrison Ford’s Difficult Relationship With Brad Pitt

Sometimes co-stars work on a project together, and everything is easy-breezy and wonderful throughout the entire filming process. In Harrison Ford’s case, working with Brad Pitt to create their 1997 film, “The Devil’s Own,” was not such an easy process, and they’ve both publicly shared why they both found the process complicated and what led to their complicated relationship. And according to Harrison Ford, it wasn’t just Brad Pitt’s fault. We’re getting into the details of what went down and what led to Brad and Harrison’s complicated movie history.

Some say “The Devil’s Own” was victim to different people having different creative directions for the project and studio heads deciding just to go ahead and make it despite not being fully prepared to do so. While others may say tension grew due to wage gaps between the stars. For Brad, the entire experience showed him what he describes as “irresponsible filmmaking” and gave him “a good schooling,” while Harrison Ford really liked the movie. Their inability to agree pushed back the filming schedule so much that it put a lot of pressure on Brad.

Despite the hiccups along the way, Harrison Ford maintains that he admires Brad Pitt’s talent, but that didn’t stop him from wanting his point-of-view to be respected during the filmmaking process. Even though Harrison and Brad didn’t share the same opinions on the outcome of “The Devil’s Own,” the movie still managed to gross $140.8 million at the box office despite how difficult it was for the stars to make it.
