In this clip, Godfrey reacts to the information of J. Edgar Hoover, former head of the FBI, being a closeted homosexual. According to Michael Franzese, Hoover was blackmailed by the mob with pictures and tapings of him with his gay lover leading him to famously deny the existence of the mob. Godfrey and Vlad talked about how damaging that would’ve been back then but now coming out as gay doesn’t carry the same burden today.
