In this clip, Godfrey weighed in on Eminem’s pronouncement of 2Pac being the greatest songwriter of all time. Godfrey said that Pac is one of the greatest in hip-hop but he doesn’t stack up when you take all of music into account. He ran off a series of names of legendary songwriters, making it difficult to make a case that Pac was better than any of them. As a consolation, Godfrey did say he believes Pac had more of an emotional impact on hip-hop than any other rapper.
