Ayunan Jantra is a sacred traditional ritual practiced by the Bali Aga people especially in Tenganan Pegringsingan Village in East Bali. This ritual is part of the Usaba Sambah ceremony, the villages most important religious festival.
During the Ayunan Jantra?l:
Young girls (pre-teens or early teens) are dressed in traditional ceremonial attire, including the rare and sacred Gringsing cloth.
They are seated on large, decorated wooden swings (jantra).
Adult men push the swings as part of the sacred rite.
The community gathers to witness this as part of the wider festival, which also includes the famous Perang Pandan (Pandan War
