Gashi opened up to VladTV about the struggles getting started in the music industry, revealing he was homeless in New York after dropping his first project. Gashi explained that his parents wanted him to get a job or leave their house, and he chose to leave to pursue his music career. From there, Gashi found himself sleeping on the streets while trying to get in touch with Kanye and Jay-Z. Gashi then shared a story of getting his mixtape in Jay-Z’s hands after hearing about his book signing. While things didn’t go as planned and Jay ending up tossing the CD aside, Gashi pressed on, and after going through several managers, he found himself homeless again in Los Angeles.
