Flavor Flav opened up to VladTV about being approached to be on Vh1’s The Surreal Life in 2003, and he revealed that MC Hammer convinced him to do the show after telling him that it brought him new opportunities. Flav went on to speak about setting out with a goal to make a TV career out of his time on the show, which ended up happening with a spin-off with his co-star, Brigitte Nielsen. He also spoke about doing Flavor of Love, which still has the record for most viewers on any Vh1 show.
