Flavor Flav opened up to VladTV about how he linked up with Chuck D and how they both went on to have their own radio shows. Flav also detailed how his radio show became more popular than some of the top stations at the time because he was collecting local music and playing it on the show. During the conversation, Flavor Flav also spoke about Chuck D. recording the first cut of “Public Enemy No. 1” and Jam Master Jay convincing Chuck to put the song out on Def Jam Records. Flav went on to speak about Def Jam initially not wanting to sign him, Chuck D convincing them otherwise, and becoming the most sampled voice of all time.
