Fab 5 Freddy spoke with DJ Vlad about VladTV’s in-depth and personal interviews, which he says wasn’t possible when he was interviewing pioneering hip-hop artists on Yo! MTV Raps in the 1980s and 90s. He explained that he also didn’t realize the staying power that hip-hop would have in its early years, but Fab 5 Freddy pointed out that it’s now a global phenomenon.
