Eve Addresses Questlove, Remembers DMX & Being a Lazy Stripper

Eve stopped by HOT 97 to talk with Nessa about being back on the road with the “Where’s The Party At?” tour alongside Nelly and Ja Rule. She shared what it’s like being the only woman on the lineup and reflected on her favorite song to perform. She also teased what tour is like now that she’s a mother and living in London. Eve reflected on her early Ruff Ryders days, including competing on the Ruff Ryders Anthem remix, being dropped from Aftermath and what it was like to work with greats like DMX and Gwen Stefani.

Eve also reflected on her debut album which turns 26 years today and what her expectations were while making it.

She opened up about writing *Who’s That Girl*, her memoir that dives into the highs and lows—including personal stories about pregnancy loss, therapy, and growth. Eve also revisited key moments from her career like working with Gwen Stefani, being left off “You Got Me” by The Roots, and how she handled working with Nicki Minaj with maturity. Plus, she reveals why she sold her publishing, how she knew her husband was the one, and how she’d respond differently now in situations she faced earlier in her career.

Read her memoir Who’s That Girl now and catch her live on the *Where’s the Party At?* tour!
