A dog in Gulfport, Mississippi, has become an unexpected internet star after sprinting past his neighbour in apparent pursuit of a jazzplaying ice cream truck. The video, filmed by Laken Elledge and posted on Instagram, has now drawn more than two million views.
Elledge began recording when she heard the familiar but unusual sound of the neighbourhoods jazzthemed ice cream truck a rare visitor to her street. She wanted to capture the moment for her husband. Before she could finish filming, Jack, a neighbours large, goofy white dog, bolted past at full speed.
All I could do was laugh and think Jack either really wanted ice cream or was terrified, Elledge said. She captioned the clip, Mom, hurry! Its the ice cream truck! a nod to childhood memories of racing home to beg for ice cream money.
