Hassan Johnson and Dan Perlman came through for their first-ever VladTV interview, where they spoke about their hit SHOWTIME series “Flatbush Misdemeanors.” After Vlad revealed that he’s a huge fan of the show, Dan started off by speaking about growing up in Manhattan in the 1990s. He explained that he got to know the city well because all of his close friends lived in different boroughs, and Dan explained that he always aspired to be a comedian. Dan then detailed being on a web series called “Moderately Funny,” which he co-created with Kevin Iso, with who he also co-created “Flatbush Misdemeanors.” It was around this time, when he was making the show, that Dan met Kareem Green, who later played his stepfather in his current show. To hear more, including Dan speaking about the web series being the blueprint for his current show, hit the above clip.
