What began as a simple afternoon adventure quickly turned into an unexpected rescue mission when Erika and her partner spotted a distressed sea turtle trapped in the sharp coastal rocks.
While their child explored the shore for crabs and slugs, they noticed the turtle (likely a loggerhead) wedged beneath a rock, struggling against the crashing waves. Acting fast, they carefully attempted to free him, hoping to guide him to a safer spot.
Erika positioned him in front of a large protruding rock to shield him from being pushed back by the waves, and after a determined effort, she found a local worker to call emergency services.
